The book consists of Bible readings that were special to Jennifer when she lost her husband and she discusses how she coped during her bereavement. It is reassuring to realise that others have also experienced strange feelings and emotions  at times of loss and that you are not alone

"Benefits and Tax Credits 2004/05: The Guide for Lone Parents." produced by "One Parent Families" in association with "One Parent Families Scotland" and "One Plus."

It is a user-friendly guide to the main benefits and tax credits for people bringing up children on their own. It includes information for parents who stay at home, as well as those in paid wok. There is a useful section listing the type of help available in different kinds of circumstances and where to find out more information about them. It also explains about how to claim each type of benefit, any interviews you may have to attend, grants and loans from the Social Fund , help with health and other costs for those on a low income and what to do when things go wrong. It looks very useful and has an excellent list of contacts for further advice.
