Regional Reps

One Regional Representative sees her role as threefold:-

	to be a point of contact with Broken Rites for clergy spouses with marriage difficulties, and to offer them the support of the group.
	to instigate group meetings, or telephone contact, between members in my region for the purpose of sharing and socialising
	to represent those members on the National Committee and help to further the work of the group in accordance with the needs aims of the members.

The three functions all require me to enable others to deal with their difficulties and work through them, at the same time being empathetic and supportive. It also needs knowledge of the practical problems associated with marriage breakdown and divorce. This all seems a very tall order and I am aware I cannot do this work without the help of the Holy Spirit and the support of other members of Broken Rites.

Another way of describing the role:-

The Regional Rep. is there to represent the members in the Region on the BR Committee. She can canvas opinion and pass it in both directions. She turns out to be a friend to us all and keeps the communication lines open in the region by arranging local meetings, being there when we are in trouble, nurturing new members and passing on news. Our Regional .Representative has also been a point of contact and information for the Diocesan Visitors.
