This year has seen a good response to
the Bishops’ Appeal, which raised £5610.00, and we note with gratitude the
generosity of the churches in Wales and Scotland, as well as the English
diocese. With the exception of the Church of Scotland, the non-Anglican
churches were less generous.
We continue to receive donations from
some parishes on a regular annual basis, and we are very grateful for
their continuing interest and support.
Expenditure has been fairly steady
along predictable lines. The highest costs being for the publication of
‘Rite Lines’ and the Annual Reports, which are both important to members.
The other big areas of expenditure are committee meetings (travelling),
and the advertising account.
Your treasurer feels much happier
this year and confident in keeping track of our money. I have also been
quite moved by the individual generosity of churches and church
organisations where generosity of giving has frequently come from less
well off sources. I look forward to continuing my banking duties in 2008.
