Role of the Treasurer
Pat
Kennedy, our Treasurer, has informed the Committee that she wishes to
retire at the AGM in 2010. It is in the interest of the organisation that
the transfer to a new Treasurer takes place as smoothly as possible, and
so we need to start thinking about this now.
Is there any member who would be interested in
taking on this very important role which includes paying out cheques,
receiving subscriptions, doing the accounts, liaising with the bank, and
meeting with the Auditors to prepare the final accounts for the AGM?
Expenses, equipment and training are available for anyone willing to
consider this role.
We shall be including a full Job Description in the
autumn edition of The Rite Lines but if you are even vaguely interested
and would like to know more, please get in touch with Pat, Sue our
Secretary, or myself. Would anyone like to “shadow” Pat later on in the
year?
